Garadedian works at his desk. The phone rings. He puts it on speaker.

GARABEDIAN: Mitchell Garabedian.

MikE: Mitch, it's Mike. I've been trying to reach you.

I've = I have. I have been trying 은 그동안 ~를 죽 해오고 있었다는 걸 표현할 때 써. 
reach you = contact you.

GARABEDIAN: I don't have time to talk to you, Mr. Rezendes.
시간없어 너랑 말할, Mr. Rezendes.

Mike speeds frantically down 1-95 towards Providence, phone to his ear.

MiKE: Just quickly. Did you refile those docs yet?
빨리 말할게. 그 파일들 다시 제출했어?
refile those docs: 그 문서들을 재제출해...

GARABEDIAN: No, I just got the order. 
아니, 막 명령을 받았어.

It takes time.
시간이 걸려.
takes time 시간이 걸려... 이걸 명령어로 하면 '시간을 갖고 해', '천천히 해' 정도의 의미가 돼.

MiKE: Okay, great.
그래, 좋아. 

Can you hold off on refiling them?
재신청 보류해도 돼?
hold off = delay, postpone. 보류하다. 연기하다의 뜻이야. 뒤에 on과 함께 쓰인 것도 눈여겨 봐서 연습해.
refilling 재작성해...

GARABEDIAN: Hold off?!
연기하라고?

MiKE: I have to go to Florida.
난  Florida 가야하거든. 

Once you refile, they're public, other newspapers will be able to get a hold of em'.
니가 파일 재제출하면, 공개되는거고, 다른 신문사들이 그것들을 가질 수 있게돼.

once you refile = as soon as you refile = soon after refile. 일단 ~하고나면 의 뜻이야. 
get a hold of em' = get a hold of them. hold them이라고 하는 것보다는 get a hold them이라고 하는게 더 영어스러운 표현같아. look과 have a look 처럼. 영어는 가지다(have), 취하다(take), 주다(give), 받다(get), 놓다(put), 만들다(make) 등의 기본적인 동사를 써서 말하기를 좋아하거든.

GARABEDIAN: Other newspapers are not my concern.
다른 신문사들은 내 관심사가 아니야.

MiKE: Hey, Mitch, please. All I need is a few more weeks, please.
이봐, Mitch. 내가 필요한 전부는 겨우 몇 주 더야, 응?
all I need: means there is only one thing which is necessary. 영어에서 이 표현 자주 나오게 쓰게 돼. 특히 이 영화에서 더 많이 나오는 듯. We have seen `all II need` many times and all we need is practice.

GARABEDIAN: I can't make any promises. Goodbye.
난 장담못해. 안녕.
make a promise = promise. 앞에서 말한 것처럼 promise랑 같은 의미인데, 좀 더 영어다운 방식인 것 같아. give you a promise라고 해도 될 것 같아.
make a/any promise: to tell someone that one will definitely do something in the future. eg. He made a promise to help her.

MiKE: Mitch? Mitch?! Shit!
