Mike boils hotdogs on the stove. He's on the phone with Sipe, cradling the mobile phone on his shoulder.

MIKE: Richard, Do you still go to Mass?
Richard, 너 여전히 미사에 가니?

SIPE: No, I haven't been to the Church for sometime now.

MIKE: How does that work?

work는 어떤 것이 본래의 주어진 기능을 잘 하는 것을 말해. 기계라면 동작하다, 차라면 운행하다 등등. 여기서는 성당에는 안나가는데는 카톨릭이라고 하니까 되물은 거야.

SIPE: Well, the Church is an institution, Mike.

made of sth 은 sth으로 이루어진, 만들어진의 의미야.

It's passing.
임시적인거야.
passing = temporary, momentary <> enternal. 임시적인, 지나가는.

Mike tries to make a note, but his pend is out of ink.

MIKE: Sounds tricky.

Mike crosses to his backpack to by the front door. He reaches in, digs around for a new pen.

SIPE: It is. Especailly since the Church continues to go after me.

go after: try to do or get something to follow or chase someone or something because you want to catch them. eg. Jeo went after her to make sure she was unhurt.

It takes a toll, Mike.

take a toll: to harm or damange someone or something.

They'll try to silence anyone who speaks out.

slience anyone: to hush him up or tell him to be quiet.

I am sure they will come after you and your team soon enough.

soon enough: 충분히 빨리. 영어에서는  enough가 뒤로 와. 이해만 하지 말고 입에 붙이는 연습이 꼭 필요해. quick enough, good enough 등 여러가지로 바꿔서 해봐.

MIKE: Really, and how do you think they'll do that?
