lay something on someone: to tell something to someone. to give something to someone. 곤란한/불편한 것을 (나한테) 올려놓다/ 지우다.  lay this shit on me 에서 this 와 shit의 sh가 같은 계열의 소리라 한번만 소리를 내. thishit  처럼.

This lands with Robby. No answer.
이 말이 Robby에게 부담을 준다. 대답을 못한다.

Jim gasps, looks like he might slug Robby.

Jim holds out his hand Robby hans him the list. Jim looks through the pages and gestures for a pen. Jim leans on the roof of Robby's car. He circles the entire pages. And then he hands it back to Robby.
